Launch of nanOsing

The nanOsing collaboration was launched this week (18th November) at the International Workshop on nanosafety organised by Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

nanOsing is a multidisciplinary collaboration of prominent leading research and consultancy groups in Singapore. nanOsing is dedicated to developing and applying world class multidisciplinary science for the assessment of health and environmental risks of nanotechnology in Singapore within the innovation chain. Through these activities, nanOsing will support the development of nanotechnology based processes, materials and products.

nanOsing also aims to support knowledge and capability building on nanomaterial risk issues in Singapore which will complement Singapore’s expertise in nanotechnology innovation.

IOM Singapore’s Prof Rob Aitken, one of the co-ordinators of nanOsing said “the launch of nanOsing brings a great opportunity for Singapore to establish itself as a leading regional centre for safe innovation in nanotechnology based products. I am looking forward to help to realize this ambition”
